Soy wax has a memory, and wood wicks require a little extra love. Follow our simple steps to maximize your candle's life and scent throw.
Always burn your candle for at least 2-3 hours on the first light, allowing the wax pool to reach the very edge of the glass jar. This prevents "tunneling" and ensures an even burn for the life of your candle.
Before every single burn, pinch off the burnt black tip of the wood wick with your fingers or a wick trimmer, leaving it about 4-5mm long. A short wick ensures a clean, crackling flame and prevents soot.
Place your candle on a heat-resistant surface away from open windows, fans, or air currents. Drafts cause the flame to flicker excessively, producing smoke and causing an uneven, rapid burn.
Once 10mm of wax remains, discontinue use. Pour hot water into the jar to float the remaining wax, wash with warm soapy water, and reuse the beautiful amber jar as a planter, pen holder, or bathroom organizer.
